The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce its brand new 2013 Golf Variant 4Motion all-wheel drive car, which should make its public debut probably during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
Volkswagen’s latest creation will wear the 2013 Golf Variant 4Motion name and, as you have probably already figured it out, it will be a four-wheel drive version of the brand new Golf 7 Variant. The model in question has been designed to handle just about everything on the road, and not only, and its all-wheel drive system should eliminate the loss of traction.
“As of now, the new Golf Variant is ordered with all-wheel drive 4MOTION. With two powerful and equally economical engines and a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg of the Golf Variant 4Motion is the perfect vehicle for high standards”, as the carmaker said in its official press release.
The 2013 Volkswagen Golf Variant 4Motion will be available with a 1.6 liter TDI engine, which is rated at 105 HP (77 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft), and with a 2.0 liter TDI unit, which is good for 150 HP (110 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft). Power will be send, of course, to the all-wheel drive system. Prices for the model will be set at 24,400 euros, for the Comfortline, while the 2.0L TDI will set you back for at least 29,075 euros.
