The brand new Volkswagen GTI Roadster Concept has been officially presented to the public during the Worthersee 2014 automotive event.
The Volkswagen GTI Roadster Concept is based on the Gran Turismo 6 virtual car, which has been created for the Gran Turismo 6 video game. The model in question has been transformed into this one-off impressive ride, which is looking as a two-seat convertible. Its lines are very aggressive and they are providing it with a supercar look, a real head-turner, but chances of seeing it, under a different form at least, in a showroom nearby, are close to inexistent.
The one-off vehicle is riding on 20-inch alloy wheels, which have been wrapped in 235/35 and 275/30 tires, front to rear, and stopping power is coming form 15-inch at the front and 14-inch at the rear ventilated disc brakes. Power is being provided by a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo TSI petrol burner which, according to Volkswagen, is producing an impressive 503 HP (375 kW) and 559 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque, being mated to a 7-speed DSG with 4MOTION AWD. The 1,421 kg weighing concept car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and to can reach a top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h).
