The brand new Volkswagen GTI Wolfsburg Edition has been officially presented to the public during the Worthersee 2014 meeting, in Austria.
After being announced for the 2014 Worthersee just last week, the new VW GTI Wolfsburg Edition is now being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the car manufacturer bringing it to the automotive event. The model in question has been created by four young women and eight men, who have worked on the project for nine months.
“By working on the Worthersee GTI project, our apprentices learn about the complexity of automobile production. During the creation of their vehicle, our budding skilled workers cooperate with experts from a variety of different professional families – from initial sketches through to approval by the Board of Management. This vehicle project offers our apprentices the best opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of their experienced colleagues from the entire company”, said the head of Vocational Training with Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Heiko Gintz.
The new Volkswagen GTI Wolfsburg Edition as received a red and black exterior theme, which is also being continued in the cabin too. The model in question is also getting a 2,170 watt sound system, with 11 speakers and a subwoofer. The vehicle has a 24-inch LED TV, a PlayStation gaming console, a built-in LED lightning, an iPhone docking station and some other tweaks, which are helping it stand out from a crowd. The vehicle in question has a total output of 380 HP (279 kW).
