The future generation of the Volkswagen Jetta will be offered in four body styles, the sedan, the wagon, the Alltrack and the coupe.
Volkswagen is getting ready to introduce the new generation of the Jetta which is said to be offered in no less than four body styles, the coupe, the wagon, the sedan and the Alltrack. The announcement hasn’t been made officially just yet but according to a report published by British magazine CAR, the three new body styles of the next Jetta generation have been approved, but the company is currently considering a fourth member.
The next generation of the Volkswagen Jetta will be riding on the MQB platform and it will be larger than the current model. This will add some centimeters into the wheelbase in order to provide some additional rear legroom. Power to the model will be provided by a series of small turbocharged gasoline engines but a plug-in hybrid version is also in the works. The upcoming Jetta will be more fuel efficient and eco friendly despite growing in size. The model is believed to be introduced in the second half of 2016.
