Volkswagen has announced the launch of the Passat BlueMotion across the United Kingdom where the model will become available as a sedan or as an estate.
If you are looking for a new economical car in the midsize segment and you happen to live in the UK, than you will most likely be happy about the new Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion being launched here. The model in question has a base starting price of 23, 200 GBP for the sedan and 24, 750 GBP for the more practical estate. The entry-level S is getting standard features such as the 17-inch Soho wheels, exclusive to this version, wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires, start/stop, battery regeneration energy, post-collision braking system, misfueling prevention, driver alert, Composition Media infotainment with a 6.5-inch display and more.
The Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion can easily stand out from its regular brothers thanks to the different front and rear bumpers, to the BlueMotion badging, the chrome front grille and the sports suspension system which has lowered the ride height by 15 mm. Under its hood we can find the 1.6 liter turbo diesel four-cylinder engine, rated at 120 HP (88 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, available at 1,750 rpm, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 10.8 seconds in the sedan and 11.0s in the wagon and to reach a top speed of 209 km/h (130 mph). With the 6-speed manual transmission, the car is eating up 3.7l / 100km of fuel (76.3 mpg UK / 63.5 mpg US) and it is emitting 95 g/km of CO2. The first deliveries of the model will begin in August.
