Volkswagen might produce the Buggy Up! Concept image

The German based automaker Volkswagen is planning to put the Buggy Up! Concept into production and the model might hit the market over the following years.

After it was officially presented to the public back in September 2011, during the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Volkswagen Buggy Up! Concept is ending up in our news once again, this time with a rumor, which is saying that the model might get the green lights for production. According to Autocar, some of the company’s officials are researching how a production version of the model will be received and if this will be feasible.

The production start of the Volkswagen Buggy Up! means that the carmaker’s New Small Family will begin to grow. As a quick reminder, the Volkswagen Buggy Up! Concept has been officially presented to the public a couple of years ago, during the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model was a retro roadster which was inspired by the 1960’s Meyers Manx and it came with a waterproof interior and two seats. Additional details on the Volkswagen Buggy Up! are limited for the moment and will probably be announced once a positive decision will be taken.
