The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced that the 1 millionth Tiguan has recently rolled off the assembly line in Wolfsburg.
Watching VW Tiguans rolling off their assembly lines isn’t that exciting but when the carmaker says that 1 million units of that model have been produced in Wolfsburg, you can’t ignore this achievement. The German based automaker is considering the Tiguan a pillar in its lineup and production of this small SUV is made in 1,000 units daily. The Volkswagen Tiguan, with the 1 millionth mark on it, is a white R-Line trim, which can be seen in the photo posted above.
The Volkswagen Tiguan in the current generation is getting ready to retire as the next version of the model will hit the market pretty soon. The second generation of the VW Tiguan is expected to be ready by the end of 2014 and the model should be launched in early 2015. The next generation of the VW Tiguan will be lighter and it will offer more space in the cabin. The Tiguan will play an important role in the future with VW because the company is planning to become the biggest carmaker in the world by 2018.
