Volkswagen will be introducing a New Midsize Coupe Concept during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, this weekend.
The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the New Midsize Coupe Concept during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, which will be officially opening its gates this weekend. The model in question has been already previewed in a few design sketches and it has been created by Klaus Bischoff, the Volkswagen’s lead designer.
The Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe is a four-door coupe and it has several styling cues borrowed from the new generation of the Golf. Rumors are saying that because of this, the vehicle might actually become a production version of the Golf CC. The one-off vehicle stands at 4,597 mm in length, 1,838 mm in width and 1,422 mm in height, being shorter and wider than the Passat and the Jetta.
The cabin of the new Volkswagen Midsize Coupe has been stripped back and the dashboard is giving a driver oriented interior look. The model in question is riding on 20-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 245/40 tires, and it’s taking its power from a four-cylinder TSI engine, producing 217 HP. The 0 to 62 mph sprint takes 6.5 seconds and top speed stands at 152 mph.
