Volkswagen has released a new photo gallery with the Passat GTE, in both sedan and estate body styles.
After being launched in Germany just a few weeks back, the new Volkswagen Passat GTE is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some images, which have been released by the carmaker. The model in question is coming with the specific chrome radiator grille with the blue stripe, the C-shaped LED daytime running lights, the redesigned bumper, the 17-inch Montpellier alloy wheels, the LED headlights, the City Emergency Braking system, Automatic Post-Collision Braking, Driver Alert system, Front Assist, ParkPilot front and rear and more.
The interior design of the car is bringing the multi-function leather wrapped steering wheel with the blue decorative stitching, the same blue stitching on the GTE gear knob, the specific seats with the blue basic structure, gloss black trim, aluminum accents, comfort front seats, rain sensing wipers, the Composition Media infotainment system with the dedicated menu and others. On its local market, prices start from 44,250 euros, for the four-door sedan, and from 45,250 euros, for the five-door estate. Under its hood, the 1.4 liter TSI petrol burner is found, with its 156 HP (115 kW), along with the 115 HP (84 kW) and 400 Nm (243 kW). Power is sent to the FWD through a 6-speed automatic double clutch transmission and thanks to the 218 HP (160 kW), this needs 7.4 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill, before going up to 220 km/h (137 mph).
