Volkswagen has officially pulled the wraps off the new Passat Sport, during the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, in a premiere.
The Volkswagen Passat Sport is the newest addition to the Passat lineup and the model in question has been recently unveiled at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. VW says that the new Passat Sport will slot between the Passat SE and the Passat SEL, and it has been equipped with some pretty interesting items, which should help it stand out from a crowd, like the 19-inch Luxor style alloy wheels, the rear spoiler or the fog lights. A total of three colors will become available for this model, like the Urano Gray, the Tungsten Silver or the Candy White.
Changes applied to the cabin are limited and they include the sport seats, the alloy pedals, the leather wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, faux carbon fiber trim, stainless steel door plates, special floor mats and others. Power to the Volkswagen Passat Sport will be provided by a 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 170 HP (126 kW) and it has a peak torque of 249 Nm (184 lb-ft). Prices for the model will start at 27,295 USD.
