Volkswagen has recently announced that the Passat Sport was launched in Malaysia where the model is available for its future customers from RM190,000.
According to the German based automaker, the new version of the D-segment Passat, which is named the Passat Sport, is now available in Malaysia. Volkswagen says that the Sport gets higher spec and more “goodies” but the model is actually more luxury than sporty, with its five double-spoke wheels wrapped in 235/45 tires, electric sunroof, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, Press and Drive comfort start, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, electric parking brake, six-disc CD changer, eight speakers, RCD 510 touch screen ICE system, bi-xenons, Vienna leather nad more.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Passat Sport is getting a 1.8 liter TSI engine which is producing a total output of 160 PS and it has a peak torque of 250 Nm available between 1,500 rpm and 4,200 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 220 km/h. The VW Passat Sport is available in Malaysia from RM190,967.20 on the road without insurance.
