Volkswagen has recently announced the official price list for the new Polo Blue GT in the United Kingdom, where the “green” hatchback can be bought from 17,400 GBP.
After it was officially presented to the public this summer, the Volkswagen Polo Blue GT is entering our news once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing the official price list in the United Kingdom. VW says that the three-door version can be bought from 17,400 GBP while for the five-door variant, its future owners will have to pay 18,020 GBP.
The B-segment hatchback is getting a 1.4 liter TSI petrol engine under its hood, which is producing a total output of 140 HP thanks to turbocharging and direct injection, with a peak torque of 250 Nm available from 1,500 rpm and remaining constant up to 3,500 rpm. The Polo Blue GT can sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 131 mph (210 km/h).
The Volkswagen Polo Blue GT is coming with the cylinder deactivation technology and it’s actually the first production version of a model powered by a 4-cylinder engine to get this system. The Polo Blue GT can save up to 1.0 L of fuel every 100 km when driven at a constant speed of 50 km/h in third or fourth gear and with the seven-speed DSG, the fuel consumption stands at 4.5 L / 100 km (52.7 mph).
