The Volkswagen Polo BlueGT has been recently launched in the United Kingdom where the model can be bought from 17, 400 pounds.
Volkswagen says that the Polo BlueGT can burn an impressive 4.6 liters of fuel every 100 km (61.4 mpg UK / 51.1 mpg US) and emit just 107 g/km of CO2 regardless if the engine is mated to the six-speed manual or to the seven-speed DSG, thanks to the active cylinder management or to the engine stop/start system. Power to the Polo BlueGT is being provided by a four-cylinder 1.4L which is producing a total output of 138 HP (103 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft).
The power mentioned above is enough to allow the VW Polo BlueGT to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 7.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h). The Volkswagen Polo BlueGT has been fitted with a rear diffuser, a rear spoiler, LED daytime running lights borrowed from the Polo GTI, side sills from the Polo BlueMotion, 17-inch alloy multi-spoke wheels and 15mm lower suspension. Prices for the VW Polo BlueGT start at 17,400 GBP in the United Kingdom.
