Volkswagen is planning to offer a facelifted version of the Polo GTI which should be introduced sometimes in 2015.
Originally unveiled a couple of months ago, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Volkswagen Polo facelift is ending up in our news once again, this time in its hotter version, the GTI, which is believed to be making its debut next year. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but it seems that the B-segment hot hatch will get some interesting changes to its exterior design, to its cabin and, last but not least, to the engine.
According to some recent reports, the upcoming Volkswagen Polo GTI will get more power from its engine, which is now expected to stand at almost 200 HP. The torque figure will also increase Transmission options will include a manual and the already available DSG. The manual gearbox has been apparently requested by enthusiasts and it will become available on the facelifted version. Chances are that Volkswagen will officially pull the wraps off the upcoming Polo GTI during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, this October, but the model will not arrive in showrooms until early 2015. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
