The Volkswagen Polo GTI will be setting you back for 18, 850 GBP once the first deliveries of the small hot hatch will begin in the United Kingdom, next March.
Volkswagen will be undercutting some of its main rivals in the small hot hatch segment, such as the RenaultSport Clio and the Peugeot 208 GTI with its 2015 Polo GTI, while the Ford Fiesta ST will be 1,600 GBP cheaper. The entry-level model will be priced from 18,850 GBP and this will be offered as a three-door, while the more practical five-door version will be offered for an extra 630 GBP.
When compared to its previous version, the Volkswagen Polo GTI is now more powerful, 12 HP more to be specific, squeezed from the same 1.8 liter turbocharged engine. The total output produced stands at 189 HP and these are being sent to the front wheels through either a 6-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG double clutch. The range topping versions of the model stand at 20,725 GBP and these are coming with the DSG. From 0 to 62 mph, the hot hatch needs 6.7 seconds and it will go all the way up to 146 mph.
