The Volkswagen Saveiro Surf has been officially previewed for the upcoming 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show, which will be opening its gates towards the end of this month.
With the 2014th edition of the Paris Motor Show ending, the German based automaker Volkswagen is currently turning its head towards one of the biggest automotive markets in South America, Brazil, and with a local automotive event opening its gates at the end of October, the company couldn’t stay aside and decided to introduce a special edition production model which has been called the Saveiro Surf.
According to the car manufacturer, the brand new Volkswagen Saveiro Sport is being offered in a single cab body style and its looks are being enhanced by the black accents and several other tweaks. The model, which is based on the Fox, is getting a glossy honeycomb front grille, fog lights as standard, a chrome strip across the headlights, a chin spoiler, black plastic guards protecting the side sills from scratches, a mounting bar on the top of the roof, 15-inch wheels with Sepang design and several other tweaks. The model is getting standard air-con, aluminum covers for the pedals, adjustable steering wheel, front airbags and more. Power will be provided by a 1.6 liter unit rated at 104 HP on ethanol or 101 HP on gasoline, connected to a 5-speed manual transmission.
