The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced that the Scirocco R has been launched in Malaysia, where the model has a starting price of RM281,060.
After the Golf R and the Passat CC R-Line have been launched in Malaysia not too long ago, the Scirocco R has come “under the same treatment” and Volkswagen has recently announced its starting price in the Asian country which has been set at RM281,060. Just like its brother, the Golf R, the VW Scirocco R is also powered by the same 2.0 liter TSI petrol burner, which is developing a total output of 255 PS and it has a peak torque of 330 Nm, available between 2,400 and 5,200 rpm.
The most powerful version of the Volkswagen Scirocco is coming with a six-speed DSG transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, 0.3 seconds slower than the Golf R. Unlike its “brother”, the VW Scirocco R is coming with front-wheel drive, but the model now has XDS electronic transverse differential lock on the front axle as standard, a tuned sport chassis, EDS integrated in the ESP, Adaptive Chassis Control and a fresh set of 19-inch Talladega alloy wheels, wrapped in 235/35 tires.
The cabin of the Volkswagen Scirocco R has been fitted with RNS 510 navigation system, dual-zone climate control, leather sports seats, panoramic tilting glass roof, keyless entry and start, 300W eight-speaker sound system, CD, MP3, USB, AUX and many more interesting items.
