The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently launched the Sharan MPV in Malaysia and the vehicle is available with the 2.0 liter TSI turbocharged engine.
According to the car manufacturer, the Volkswagen Sharan, which was recently launched in Malaysia, is coming with safety features such as the electronic stabilization programme (ESP), the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and nine airbags, which include the driver’s knee airbag and the curtain airbag system for all the seats. The new VW Sharan is also equipped with the Park Distance Control (PDC), Park Assist parallel parking system and rear view camera. The VW Sharan is also the first model of the company which is coming with the Park Assist 2.0.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Sharan for Malaysia is coming with a single engine option, the 2.0 liter TSI turbocharged direct injected four-cylinder petrol unit, which is developing a total output of 200 PS at 5,100 rpm and it has a peak torque of 280 Nm, which is available between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. The German MPV has a six-speed DSG transmission (Direct Shift Gearbox) and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 218 km/h.
