The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently released a teaser image with the new Golf GTI Concept, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the Worthersee 2013.
The fact that the Volkswagen Golf GTI Concept will be officially unveiled during the 2013 Worthersee isn’t a surprise anymore, considering the fact that the carmaker has already announced its plans to introduce it during the event. What comes as a surprise is VW’s attempt of placing it into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of the teaser image posted above, which isn’t actually showing anything interesting, just like every other teaser image of a car out there.
The VW Golf GTI Concept has been created by 13 trainees who have spent the last year producing it. The model will be one of the most powerful versions of the VW Golf up to date and changes have been applied to the engine, to its exterior and interior designs. The Golf GTI Concept in question won’t be as powerful as the Golf GTI W12 unveiled in 2007, which had a 641 HP (478 kW) and 749 Nm of torque (553 lb-ft) 6.0L W12 Bentley engine under its hood. That version could have reached a top speed of 326 km/h (203 mph) and it was produced in order to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary.
