Several teaser images with the Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo Concept have been released by the German based automaker.
Following the debut of the Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo last year, the car manufacturer is now getting ready to officially pull the wraps off yet another impressive model. This one is called the Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo and it will be adopting a very similar style to the GTI Roadster Concept, getting some unique styling characteristics which include the LED headlights, daytime running lights, a more pronounced splitter, the Supersport badge and several other tweaks. Details on it remain limited at this time and will most likely be announced over the following months, during an automotive event.
The previous Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo has been introduced back in 2014 for the Gran Turismo 6 video game. The model was getting a carbon fiber body kit, a center mounted dual exhaust system, a large rear wing and so on. Under its hood, the 3.0 liter TSI VR6 engine was found, which was capable of producing a total output of 503 HP (375 kW) and a peak torque of 665 Nm (491 lb-ft) of torque. The unit was connected to the 7-speed DSG transmission, which was sending power to the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Back then, we said that the best way to describe the VW GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo was Golf R32 on steroids, with no roof and a supercar complex.
