Volkswagen Tiguan facelift launched in Malaysia

The German based automaker Volskwagen has recently launched the facelifted version of its popular Tiguan in Malaysia, after the SUV has been presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

Volkswagen says that its “Malaysian” Tiguan is available with only with only one engine option, the 2.0 liter TSI petrol unit which is developing 210 horsepower between 5.300 and 6.200 rpm and has a peak torque of 280 Nm available between 1.700 and 5.200 rpm, mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission and fitted with the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

The VW Tiguan is available in Malaysia with features like Vienna leather upholstery seats, cruise control, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold function, six airbags including front, side and front and rear curtain, speed sensitive electro-mechanical power steering, PRD (park distance control), Rear Assist with rear view camera, bi-xenon headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights and many others, including new 17 inch New Orleans style alloy wheels wrapped in 235/55 tires.

According to the German based automaker, the VW Tiguan has been priced at RM 236.888 on the road, without insurance, and the model will have some serious competition from other imported or even local vehicles.
