Volkswagen Touareg, Beetle, XL1 revealed at Delhi image

The German based automaker Volskwagen has recently presented to the Indian public the new Volkswagen Touareg, the new Beetle and the XL1 hybrid concept car at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo.

According to the car manufacturer, the new Volkswagen Touareg which was recently revealed at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo in India, is more efficient, lighter and more aerodynamic, being the first one in its class to be equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission, as the company’s board member, Ulrich Hackenberg, said. Besides the Touareg, the Indian automotive event also hosted the new Beetle, which came with some interesting powerplants, like the 1.4 TSI or the 1.8 TSI, along with the seven-speed DSG transmission.

“The new Beetle has rear spoiler, chrome-plated tail pipes, aluminum trim strips and many more features which makes it look like a top level sports car”, said Ulrich Hackenberg.

The Volkswagen star of the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo was definitely the XL1 hybrid concept car, which shared the same space with the new Touareg and Beetle. According to the German based automaker, the VW XL1 is the most efficient concept car in the world and it’s coming with a 0.8 liter displacement generating a maximum power of 48 PS. The XL1 is similar in size to the popular Polo hatchback and it has the capacity to deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of 111 km/L.
