The Volkswagen Touareg is definitely one of the hottest mom-mobiles available out there but the SUV just became hotter after the tuning specialists at Je Design decided to get their hands on one and improve its performance, besides adding a new wide kit.
The Touareg wide body kit for the R-Line model comes with a new front bumper, redesigned rear bumper with integrated diffuser, quad tailpipe exhaust, wheel arch extension, and a new lower section of the tailgate while the VW badge has been left aside.
According to the tuner, the Touareg R-Line has also received an ECU remap, where the 4.2 liter TDI V8 engine is now delivering a total of 410 horsepower and a peak of 930 Nm of torque, compared to the standard 340 HP and 800 Nm.
The redesigned Touareg R-Line can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds compared to the stock 5.8, while its top speed has been increased from 242 km/h (150 mph) to 269 km/h (167 mph).
The upgrade kit made by Je Design is also offering a new suspension which brings the SUV 35 mm closer to the road and it’s now sitting on large 22 inch alloys.
Je Design says that the Touareg can be ordered with shadow silver or matte black, both with a silver face, while the matte graphite silver comes with polished edges. The tuner didn’t announce a price for the upgrade kit yet.
