The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Touareg V8 TDI R-Line to Australia in March.
After announcing the new Golf 7 which will debut in Australia in April, VW has stepped forward once again and the carmaker is now getting ready to launch the Touareg V8 TDI R-Line in the country in March. The new Touareg R-Line is now getting a sporty body kit, with a unique front bumper, new side sills, new rear bumper, a rear spoiler, dark tinted windows, LED taillights, dual chrome exhaust tips, R-Line badging and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Power to the Volkswagen Touareg V8 TDI R-Line is being provided by a 4.2 liter turbo diesel engine, which is producing a total output of 250 kW and it has a peak torque of 800 Nm. This is the second most powerful VW vehicle offered in Australia, after the V10 Touareg R50 with its 4.9 liter twin turbo unit, with 258 kW and 850 Nm of torque. The powerful SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds and it’s burning 9.2 liters of fuel in a combined cycle. More details on the model will be announced close to its debut.
