The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently pulled the wraps off the 2014 Polo WRC, which will make its debut at the Rally Monte Carlo, on the 14th of January.
WRC fans out there will be glad to find out that the German based automaker Volkswagen has officially unveiled the 2014 Polo WRC. The racing hatchback is looking instantly recognizable, thanks to its livery, to the large rear wing, to the racing wheels wrapped in high performance tires, to the muscular fenders, to the modifications made to the front and rear and to other “goodies”, including the suspension system, the roll cage and so on.
“When it comes to technical development, you simply cannot afford to let up for a single second. Although we won some laurels in 2013, we have certainly not rested on them”, said Jost Capito, the Volkswagen Motorsport director.
The stability of the 2014 Volkswagen Polo WRC has been improved compared to the previous version and the racer has also received some optimized chassis components along with new software for on-board electronics. The engine has been upgraded too. Additional details on the 2014 Volkswagen Polo WRC are limited for the moment and will probably be announced next week, during the Rally Monte Carlo.
