The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, a shark cage, made for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
According to Volkswagen USA, the Beetle Convertible shark cage in question has been developed with marine biologist Luke Tipple and it’s coming with a tubular construction inspired by the 2013 Beetle Convertible, which is where the name has been “drawn” too.
“As Discovery’s longest-running franchise and TV’s must-see summer event, Shark Week has a loyal audience, which we are proud to engage in this unique sponsorship with Volkswagen. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Volkswagen, connecting them to our passionate fans to help drive brand awareness and showcase VW’s ingenuity and originality”, said Discovery Communications’ executive VP, advertising sales, Scott Felenstein.
The brand new Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Shark Cage is coming with wheels, headlights, interior trim and also a tri-motor system, which will allow it to be driven under water. The VW Beetle Convertible Shark Cage will make its “debut” on Discovery Channel, on the 4th of August, during Shark Week. Additional details on the subject are limited for the moment.
