The German based automaker Volkswagen is planning to launch the smallest model in its lineup, the Up!, in India, after the vehicle was only recently made available in Europe, coming in three trim levels.
Even if it can accommodate four people and it comes in the size of a Lamborghini engine, the new Volkswagen Up! is pretty expensive so a possible launch on the Indian auto market might not be a good choice for the German manufacturer. The car in the image above has been spotted in India, and, according to autocarindia.com, it will be officially presented in the country at the Auto Expo 2012. The VW Up! might be the automaker’s attempt to get into the Indian market without the help of Suzuki.
Sadly there’s no official news about the Indian version of the VW Up! but in Europe the model is available with three engine variants, two of them based on the 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol unit, as well as a BlueMotion Technology version, along with three trim levels, the Take Up, Move Up and High Up. Besides these, Volkswagen is also offering two special editions, the Up Black and the Up White, and an Up GT might also be on its way.
