The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the impressive XL1 to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
After it was officially unveiled on the Old Continent just a few months ago, in what is expected to become its final production version, the brand new Volkswagen XL1 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker making an official announcement. According to the company, the new VW XL1 will make its UK debut later on this month, during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the model will be presented.
As a quick reminder, the Volkswagen XL1, in its final production shape, has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, earlier this year. The model is powered by an 800cc two-cylinder engine, which is producing 47 BHP, backed up by an electric motor, generating 27 BHP, and a 5.5 kWh battery pack. In ideal conditions of the real world, the XL1 can return a whopping 127 mpg (UK). Total weight stands at just 795 kg, and the model is 3.8 meters long and 1.66 meters wide. The model is burning 0.9 L / 100 km.
