The Swedish based automaker Volvo has recently announced that a new 2.0 liter diesel engine has been launched, along with some extra safety features.
According to the car manufacturer, the all-new 2.0 liter diesel engine, which has just been launched by Volvo, will be used on the S60, V60, XC60, V70 and S80 models. Volvo says that the brand new diesel burner has, of course, 2.0 liters, and it’s coming with five cylinders, which are able to develop a total output of 136 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The new diesel unit will be named the D3 and it will be placed above the D2, with its 115 HP and below the D4 with the 163 HP.
Besides the new D3 diesel engine, which will be available with either manual or automatic transmissions on the S60, V60, XC 60, V70 and S80, the car manufacturer will also equip the same models with the Road Sign Information, Active High Beam and Tunnel Detection, making the them stand out for their names. A fresh set of 18-inch alloy wheels, with fie spokes, will become available on the S60, V60, V70 and S80, while on the V70 the automaker will install a new front grille painted in black, and on the S60 and V60, the trim levels will also include the same aluminum finishes found on the XC60.
