The Swedish based automaker Volvo will be creating a more luxurious version of the recently unveiled XC90 which will be introduced at the Auto Shanghai, this year.
In case you have felt that the new generation of the Volvo XC90 is not that good and that you would be able to pay more for it only if it became better, than you will be glad to find out that the company is apparently working on a hotter version of the popular SUV. The announcement hasn’t been made official but according to a recent report, the more luxurious Volvo XC90 will be shown at the Shanghai automotive event.
The vehicle in question is believed to drop its seven-seat layout in favor for a four-seat configuration, with individual rear seating. Passengers sitting in the rear will also get the massage functions in their seats, which will be installed way back than the current second-row, being translated into a lot of legroom and creating a lounge-like cabin. The updated version of the Volvo XC90 will only be offered in select markets, with China being one of them, and this is a good alternative to a long wheelbase version of the model which we all know that Chinese love. We are not sure at this time whether the more luxurious version of the XC90 will be getting some performance modifications too, but these will probably be announced at the Auto Shanghai 2015. The vehicle is expected to start its sales on the 20th of April.
