The Swedish based automaker Volvo has recently released the first official teaser with the S60 Polestar model, the future rival of the BMW M3.
The Volvo S60 Polestar has started life in the automotive media at the end of May, when the car manufacturer has announced its “birth” and now the powerful vehicle is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the company releasing the first official teaser image. Even if the Volvo S60 Polestar is coming closer to its launch by the day, we still don’t have any official details on it but we know that it will be officially presented to the public on the 16th of June, during the Gothenburg City Race.
The all-new Volvo S60 Polestar is coming to life thanks to the collaboration between Volvo and Polestar. The model will go against the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the Audi RS4 and rumors are saying that it will be powered by a V8 engine, which will develop a total output of 400 horsepower, but a highly modified V6 petrol unit is also expected to be adopted. The Volvo S60 Polestar might get the same V8 unit found on the XC90 and S80, which, when used on the Noble M600 supercar, can develop 650 HP.
