Volvo has recently announced a limited production for the S60 Polestar, the company’s rival for the M5, E63 AMG and RS6.
After it was officially unveiled in its pre-production form, just a few days ago, the Volvo S60 Polestar is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the Swedish based automaker announcing a limited run of the model. The Volvo S60 Polestar is coming with a modified front bumper, a different rear bumper with a Ferrita 3.5-inch stainless steel exhaust system incorporated, a lowered dashboard, Polestar seats and some other tweaks, which will help the model differentiate from the standard version.
The most interesting part of the Volvo S60 Polestar is being found under its hood, where the T6 inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine is resting. The unit is good for 508 HP (379 kW) and 575 Nm of torque (424 lb-ft). This is being sent to the wheels through a reinforced close ratio manual six-speed transmission and the Haldex Gen4 XWD (cross wheel drive) system. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). Additional details on the S60 Polestar remain unknown for the moment.
