The upcoming direct rival to the BMW M3, the Volvo S60 Polestar, has been recently rendered, revealing what the vehicle might just look like.
After the Volvo S60 Polestar has been recently announced by the two companies at the end of May, the model is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time by the guys at the ps-garage.com, who have released a render of the model, revealing its aggressive front fascia, multiple air vents and other tweaks to its body which will “hide” a powerful engine that will be able to compete directly to the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG or to the Audi RS4.
Rumors are saying that the Volvo S60 Polestar will get a 400 horsepower V8 engine in order to go against the models mentioned above, but a highly modified V6 petrol unit is also expected to be adopted. The Volvo S60 Polestar might get the same V8 engine found on the XC90 and the S80, which is currently offering 315 HP in aspirated form, but Noble has proven that the same unit can generate 650 HP on the M600 supercar. The engine will be mated to a sequential transmission which will send its power to the Haldex four-wheel drive system. More details on the Volvo S60 Polestar will be announced soon.
