The Swedish based automaker Volvo has recently won the Car of the Year Award for its S60 model, at the Middle East Motor Awards, with the sedan being recognized as the leading vehicle compared to its competition.
According to Volvo, besides the Middle East Motor Award for Middle East Car of the Year, the S60 model has also won the International Sedan of the Year Award, being named the Most Dependable car from the International Car of the Year jury earlier this year. The mid-sized S60 has enjoyed relative success in 2012, and this award will definitely play a serious role for potential buyers within this segment.
“Winning the Middle East Car of the Year award is an honor and we are thrilled with the exposure that the S60 has received this year. This is a significant title and award for Volvo Cars Corporation and we can’t begin to express our gratitude to our Volvo customers. We have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on the Volvo S60 and we are proud to own the title of Middle East Car of the Year”, said the Volvo sales and marketing director, Emre Karaer.
Volvo says that for its S60 model, powertrain choices sit between the front-wheel drive 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, with its 203 horsepower, and the larger three-liter six-cylinder all-wheel drive unit, developing a total output of 304 horsepower.
