The upcoming Volvo S90 flagship model is returning in more leaked images, with the help of yet another scale model, wearing a different shade on its body.
The story with the Volvo employee who has “borrowed” a few scale models of the new S90 is continued these days with the help of yet another photo gallery. This time we get to see how the model looks in the Liquid Blue paint but, except for this, don’t expect anything you didn’t know so far from previous articles or reports.
The new Volvo S90 will come as a replacement for the aging S80. The model will bring a completely new design and a different front fascia which has a lot in common with the one of the XC90, in its new generation. We can also see the slightly sloping roofline, giving it a sportier profile, along with the large VOLVO lettering on the trunk lid. The new car is believed to be riding on the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform and to be significantly larger than its predecessor, translating into more space for the rear passengers and an increased practicality. This is believed to give birth, eventually, to a wagon as well, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed at this point. We have no clue on when the new S90 will be unveiled but chances are we might see it by the end of the year.
