After having partnered with Swedish House Mafia, Volvo seems to be on a roll for making videos with electronic music artists. The Swedish carmaker has recently joined famous electro pop DJ and producer Avicii for making a new video for a song called “Feeling Good.”
The song is due to be released on 8th of May across the world and it is actually a rework of Nina Simone’s classic “Feeling Good” to which the DJ added new vocals and fresh beats. The song is one of Avicii’s favorites, which is why it was chosen to be the first one to get launched. The collaboration with Volvo was justified by the car brand’s new global campaign “A New Beginning”.
Alain Visser, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service at the Volvo Car Group said that “The Volvo Cars brand is on the ascendant, just as Avicii is, with a growing global audience. We thought there would be no better way to celebrate our heritage and passion for life than to work together to produce something special that reflects who we are and what matters to us.”
The video was shot in Stockholm, maintaining the Swedish motif for the entire project. Even if the video has not been released yet, teaser photos showed the newly designed XC90 being the star next to Avicii in the new music product.
The car model is the first in the lineup that is set to stand for the rebirth of Volvo, and it has an all-new SPA architecture and power trains. The XC90 turned to be an instant hit, as the song from Avicii hopefully will, too, with its limited production First Edititon being sold out in only 47 hours.
