The Swedish automaker Volvo is playing hard to get just like its European or Asian rivals and it’s announcing a new concept by releasing a teaser video ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show which will officially open its gates next week.
Volvo didn’t announce any official details about the concept but this will be used to showcase the automaker’s new platform (SPA – Scalable Platform Architecture), which will be available to some future models as well as offering the possibility to use a single assembly line for different types of models.
Besides the new platform, the Swedish car manufacturer will also introduce new four-cylinder engines, part of the VEA range (Volvo Environmental Architecture), which will be more efficient, burn less fuel, emit less CO2 and offer more power than the current six-cylinder units.
This is all we know for now about the newest Volvo concept but the car will be officially presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show next week. Meanwhile enjoy the teaser video below.
