The German aftermarket specialists at Heico Sportiv have recently pulled the wraps off a new tuning program for the Volvo V40, which is bringing some styling accessories and a powerboost to the model.
Heico Sportiv is the official tuning partner of Volvo Car Germany GmbH, Volvo Automobile (Schweiz) AG and Volvo Car Overseas Corporation and the company is offering these days a new upgrade package for the V40. According to the aftermarket specialists at Heico Sportiv, the Swedish hatchback’s five-cylinder D4 petrol engine is now producing 192 HP (195 PS) from the standard 174 HP (177 PS) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft), thanks to an ECO remap.
The Volvo V40 equipped with the D4 unit can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) 1 second faster than the standard version and the top speed of the model has also increased by 10 km/h (6 mph). Heico Sportiv says that further variants include the T3, T4 and T5 turbo direct injection gasoline engines and they are currently under development, but should hit the market shortly.
Besides the power boost, the tuning company is also offering a styling package for the Volvo V40, made out of a front apron, a rear diffuser and some other minor tweaks to its body, including the chrome-plated tailpipes for the sports exhaust system and the 18- and 19-inch rims. The rider height of the hatchback has been lowered by 30 mm an various accessories have been added to the cabin.
