The Volvo V40 Cross Country can now be bought by people living in the United Kingdom after the Swedish based automaker has announced its launch there.
After announcing the official starting price of the Volvo V40 R-Design earlier today, the Swedish based automaker is bringing the V40 into our news once again, this time by launching the V40 Cross Country in the United Kingdom. Volvo says that the V40 Cross Country is aimed towards people who want a small 5-door hatchback with an off-road, rugged look. The company is offering the model for a starting price of 22,595 GBP for the D2 Cross Country SE, or for 33,875 GBP for the T5 Geartronic Cross Country Luxury Nav with AWD.
The Volvo V40 Cross Country is coming with an interior design similar to the one used by the regular V40 and the model is offering new inserts on the center console. The V40 Cross Country will receive all engines from the V40 hatchback, except for the 1.6 liter T3 unit with its 150 HP. All-wheel drive is being offered on the top of the line 254 HP T5 equipped versions, as the company has announced. The main differences between the regular version of the Volvo V40 and the V40 Cross Country will be the front grille with a different design, the side skirts, the front and rear bumper, the 40 mm increased ride height, the body colored rims and some other minor tweaks. The V40 Cross Country will start its deliveries in January, as well as the V40 R-Design, but both models are available to order now.
