The new Volkswagen Amarok Canyon will be represented by its ambassador, Felix Baumgartner, the Austrian man who has managed to jump from stratosphere with a parachute last year.
After it was officially presented to the public, in a concept form, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and then being brought to the Hanover Auto Show just a few months later, in its final production version, the Volkswagen Amarok Canyon is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing a new ambassador for the vehicle, in the person of Austrian man Felix Baumgartner, who jumped with a parachute from stratosphere.
The new special edition of the Volkswagen Amarok, the Canyon, is also being promoted by Hannah Whiteley, a Freestyle and Kitesurfing champion, and Cross-Country champion Thomas Litscher. The Volkswagen Amarok Canyon is based on the Trendline and it has received tinted headlights and taillights, a roll-bar, 17-inch wheels, auxiliary lamps, partial leather seats in the cabin with contrast stitching, chromed accents and two diesel engines, in two outputs, available with a 6-speed manual transmission and permanent 4WD system. A special paint is also available for the model, the Cooper Orange.
