The top of the line is benefitting from dual-zone climate control, touch screen infotainment with AUX and Bluetooth, DAB digital radio and more.

Power to the Golf GTD is provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder common rail diesel engine, which is good for 181 BHP (135 kW) and 379 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission in standard or to a six-speed dual clutch DSG. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in the manual is done in 7.5 seconds and top speed stands at 230 km/h (143 mph). Fuel consumption stands at 67.3 mpg UK (4.1L/100km / 56 mpg US) and CO2 emissions at 109 g/km.
