The official starting price of the new Volkswagen Golf GTD has been recently set at 25, 285 GBP in the United Kingdom.
After pulling the wraps off its body just a few weeks ago, the VW Golf GTD is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing its launch in the United Kingdom. The cheapest version of the Golf GTD is coming with a 25,285 GBP price tag, for the manual transmission version, while the dual clutch DSG will set you back for 26,700 GBP. The new Golf GTD is getting smoked LED taillights, LED license plate illumination, bi-xenon headlights or LED daytime running lights.
The model has also been fitted with chrome dual tailpipes, a rear diffuser, sports suspension, upgraded side skirts and a big roof spoiler, along with the 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is adding Jacara Grey sports seats, stainless steel pedals, sports steering wheel, black roof lining, GTD instrument cluster and more. The top of the line is benefitting from dual-zone climate control, touch screen infotainment with AUX and Bluetooth, DAB digital radio and more.
Power to the Golf GTD is provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder common rail diesel engine, which is good for 181 BHP (135 kW) and 379 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission in standard or to a six-speed dual clutch DSG. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in the manual is done in 7.5 seconds and top speed stands at 230 km/h (143 mph). Fuel consumption stands at 67.3 mpg UK (4.1L/100km / 56 mpg US) and CO2 emissions at 109 g/km.
