VW Golf R gets tuned by ABT Sportsline image

The aftermarket specialists at ABT Sportsline have recently introduced a new tuning program for the Volkswagen Golf R, which has received some pretty interesting items.

According to the tuning company, the styling part of these upgrades mean that the Volkswagen Golf R in question has been equipped with a front lip spoiler, with headlight covers and with a revised front grille. The model in question is also coming with a rear wing, with a sporty diffuser, with some extended side skirts, with attractive mirror caps and with a new set of ER-C alloy wheels, which have received a dark finish.

The Volkswagen Golf R signed by ABT Sportsline is still taking its power from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which has now received some upgrades and is producing an extra 70 HP (51 kW) and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) of torque. The total output now stands at 370 HP (272 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes just 4.5 seconds and top speed stands at 265 km/h (164 mph). No more details on the model, including its price list, are being known for the moment, but will probably be announced by the tuner over the following weeks.
