ABT Sportsline has recently pulled the wraps off its latest create, an upgrade program for the Volkswagen Golf VI, during the 2012 Essen Motor Show.
The VW Golf VI is getting ready to be forgotten because the seventh generation of the model will hit the market soon and in order to pay tribute to the popular hatchback, ABT Sportsline has tuned it and the model has been officially presented to the public during the 2012 Essen Motor Show. ABT Sportsline is offering the so-called ABT Volkswagen GOLF GTI Last Edition with a two-stage tuning.
According to the tuning company, the Stage 1 is allowing the 2.0 liter turbo engine to produce a total output of 256 HP (191 kW) from the standard 208 HP (155 kW) thanks to a reprogrammed ECU, while the Stage 2 is adding a turbocharger which is lifting the power to 306 HP (228 kW). The suspension has also been modified in the model and in fact this is now lowering the ride height by one inch (25 mm) and the Stage 2 version is adding 345 mm brake discs. An aerodynamic body kit will help the model stand out in a crowd. ABT Sportsline did not reveal the price for these upgrades just yet.
