VW Multivan PanAmericana to enter production soon image

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has revealed during the ongoing Geneva Motor Show that it’s going to produce in series form the Multivan PanAmericana, which was previewed by the namesake concept.

The production version revealed during the Swiss event is based off the concept that was seen first last year during the Frankfurt Motor Show and now just a few months after the production face is already compete. That’s because the two share striking similarities, as this special version has received an additional 0.7 inches (20 mm) of ground clearance (not mandatory) and comes packing standard 17-inch alloy wheels, with an optional 18-inch set also available if you’re feeling spectacular. The front and rear bumpers have a textured effect paint job and there are custom front and rear underbody protections along with side sill attachments. Also on the lower sides of the vehicle a stone guard film has been applied and the rear windows are tinted. We also noticed the Highline radiator grille, smoked LED taillights, and a PanAmericana logo adorning the B-pillars.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has also reworked the cabin which now features a checker plate floor, rugged rubber floor mats, and entry lights with PanAmericana lettering. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a stainless steel look for the pedals, leather gear shift knob, and an automatic climate control system. The model can be ordered as FWD or with the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system and the entire range of the standard Multivan is also available, save for the 62 kW TDI unit.
