The all-new Passat Alltrack will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 New York Auto Show, on the 4th of April, as a concept.
According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack will make its official debut over-seas as a concept car, during the 2012 New York Auto Show. After being launched in the United Kingdom not too long ago, and with the company releasing a promotional video for the model too, the Passat Alltrack is once again highlighted. Even if the “off-roader” has been announced for New York as a concept, we still don’t have any details on it, but we are expecting a different version which will eventually underpin the US-spec Alltrack.
Being based on the Estate version of the popular VW Passat, the Alltrack has been fitted with an aluminum underbody protection, plastic cladding for the body and a raised suspension. The VW Passat Alltrack is going against models like the Volvo XC70 or even is expensive “brother”, the Audi A4 Allroad. As a small reminder, the VW Passat Alltrack is being offered in the UK for 28,475 GBP (entry-level) but it can go up to 31,025 pounds. Standard equipment includes two-zone climate control, touch screen sat-nav, front and rear parking sensors, MDI iPod connectivity and cruise control.
