Vw of America on Monday said that the company will recall about 71,000 2011 Jetta sedans for a wiring problem that could cause the car to turn off when the horn is used.
The recall affects model year 2011 sedans built between March 2010 and March 2011. No injuries or accidents have been reported.
According to the automaker, in “very rare” circumstances, an electrical short in the horn could cause a short in the converter box and could make the vehicle stall.
A timeline was not announced, but Volkswagen will contact owners via mail. Owners can call VW at 800-822-8987 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236.
