The 2016 Volkswagen Sharan is now available for order on the German auto market, as the company has recently announced.
After being officially unveiled back in March 2015, during the Geneva Motor Show, the facelifted version of the Volkswagen Sharan is being highlighted once more, this time with the carmaker announcing its launch on its home market, Germany. According to the company, the model in question has a base price of 32,000 euros and it has received the economical Euro 6 compliant engines, more comfort and safety equipment and some tweaks made to its exterior and interior design, compared to the current variant.
The facelifted Volkswagen Sharan is coming with two TSI petrol units and with three TDI diesel burners, the 1.4 liter TSI With its 148 HP and the 2.0 liter TSI producing 217 HP, 20 HP more than before. The diesel lineup has a single 2.0 liter TDI, in three versions, with 114 HP, with 148 HP and with 181 HP. All versions, except for the base one, can be connected to the 6-speed DSG transmission. The 4Motion all-wheel drive system is also available, but only with the 148 HP TDI diesel engine. Volkswagen says that at the time of its launch, the Ocean and the Beach special editions will be offered, finished in the new Hudson Bay Blue Metallic (Ocean) and Crimson Red (Beach). The two models will also get the Blind Spot Monitor plus Rear Traffic Alert, Park Assist, ACC assistance system, Lane Assist, silver roof rails and 16-inch alloy wheels.
