The German based automaker Volkswagen is rumored to bring the Up! and the Taigun Concept to the 2013 Buenos Aires Motor Show, later on this month.
According to the local automotive media, Volkswagen will bring the Up! to the 2013 Buenos Aires Motor Show. This is part of a strategy to introduce the model in Latin America, where it will also be produced by the end of this year, in Brazil. But before entering production, the Up! might be unveiled in Argentina, during the 2013 Buenos Aires Motor Show, along with the Taigun Concept, on the 19th of June, once the automotive event will officially open its gates.
Originally introduced at the Sao Paulo Motor Show last year, the Volkswagen Taigun is also rumored to make its way to the same automotive event. The model is based on the same platform as the VW Up! but it’s 81 mm taller, 83 mm wider and it has a 50 mm longer wheelbase. The concept version is powered by a 1.0 liter TSI engine, which is producing a total output of 110 HP (81 kW) and 175 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 9.2 seconds and top speed stands at 186 km/h (116 mph).
