VW Touareg Special Edition X celebrates the model’s 10th birthday image

Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Touareg Special Edition X which has been created in order to celebrate the model’s 10th birthday.

After it was officially presented to the public for the first time ten years ago, during the 2002 Paris Motor Show, the Volkswagen Touareg is getting ready to celebrate the SUV’s 10th birthday with a very special edition of the model, which has been named simply the “X”. According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Touareg Special Edition X (10 in Roman numerals) is coming with some interesting packages and special touches on the exterior and in the cabin.

“A decade ago, the Touareg celebrated its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show and since then has been providing off-road competence of the highest level. Volkswagen is now dedicating a new special model to this era of success, the Touareg Edition X, which with numerous exclusive features will satisfy the even most demanding of expectations” said the automaker it its official press release.

The Volkswagen Touareg Edition X is getting some interesting new features like the panoramic sunroof, the silver anodized trim, the bi-xenon headlights, special badging or 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the model is getting Nappa leather upholstery, ebony wood trim and illuminated door sill plates. Prices for the Touareg X in Germany will start at 61,025 euros for the V6 TDI BlueMotion.
