English footballer Wayne Rooney has just added a brand new ride to his garage, a BMW i8.
We all know that Wayne Rooney is a fan of expensive and exotic vehicles and the newest addition to his garage is a BMW i8. The Manchester United captain has been spotted recently in the “green” German sports car arriving at the first day of pre-season training. Keep in mind that the vehicle hasn’t been bought in order to save money on gas or to save the planet but only because of its looks and performance. One thing is for sure, the BMW i8 will not feel alone in Rooney’s garage!
BMW has recently performed a series of updates on the i8 for the 2016 model year. The “green” car has received the new Carpo Carum Grey interior with the Carum Grey leather seats, the contrast stitching, Amido metallic trim, BMW i Blue metallic seatbelts, leather engine cover, gloss brake calipers and so on. The same plug-in hybrid powertrain has been maintained under its hood and this is making use of a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The total output sent to the wheels stands at 362 HP (266 kW) and this is allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The average fuel consumption is 2.1L / 100km (134.5 mpg UK / 112 mpg US).
